Land Judging Cards
To grade land judging cards, you will use 2 forms: the 'student
card' will appear on the screen and then the pop-up 'official
card'
will appear over that.
Open Grading Cards
Stay within the pop-up box labeled 'official'
while you enter the 'official information'.

the 'reset' button is on the official
form only if you need to 'start over'

(it will either print out on one legal size or 2 pieces of 8 1/2 by
11)
While working with the
'official card', you will:
1. Input Practice Official.
2. In the upper half of the card for each category, put in the point value and check the correct answer(s).
3. In the lower half, put point value in the correct answer squares; all other squares will have zero values.
4. Each field must total 75 for
a total of 300 points before the official will let you grade. With all correct answers marked, press 'Click Here When Ready To Grade'.
When working with the
'student card', you will:
First, input the official card answers to make sure it
adds up to 300; this will double check your input answers. If you need to re-enter the official, click 'REFRESH'
(this will BLANK the pop-up 'official card' and let you start
over)
If it adds to 300, then press 'reset' so you can begin grading the
contestants entries. DO NOT
REFRESH (only reset the form between each contestant).
1. Type in contestant name and
contestant number.
2. Input contestants 'marked contest answers'.
3. Push 'press to get score' button.
4. Press 'edit', 'select all'.
5. Press 'edit', 'copy'.
6. Open your 'word processor' software.
7. On your 'word processor' page, press 'edit', 'paste'.
8. Set page setup for legal paper
and set all margins to one-half inch.

Ecological Cards

Plant ID
To grade Plant ID cards, prompt boxes will ask for plant ID official
numbers (the form automatically knows the characteristics of that
number).

While working with the
'official prompts', you will:
1. Input Plant Number and press 'OK' for each of the twenty plants (if less
than twenty plants, just continue to click 'OK' through prompt for
plant number twenty).
2. Now you are ready to input student's answers. After
inputting their answers, press 'score'.
3. Upon grading the first student's card, double-check your official
plant ID number with the 'red numbers' on the student's card.
If one of the official plant ID numbers do not match your printed
official, you must refresh the form and enter plant ID numbers
again. If they do match, then do the following.
1. Type in contestant name and
contestant number.
2. Choose 'edit'
from the toolbar, then 'select all'.
3. Choose 'edit', 'copy'.
4. Open your 'word processor' software.
5. On your 'word processor' page,
choose 'edit', 'paste'.
6. Set page
setup for landscape and set all margins to one-half inch.
